Intensified Fighting in Dobropillia Region
Fighting has intensified northwest of Dobropillia, Ukraine, as Russian forces resumed offensives against Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) positions in late March. Key clashes occurred near Rodinskoe, Belitskoe, and Novyi Donbas, with ongoing counterattacks from the AFU. In the second half of March, Russian forces resumed their offensive against AFU positions in cities and villages north of Pokrovsk after a brief pause. The most active combat clashes unfolded in the vicinity of Rodinskoe, in Belitskoe and near Novyi Donbas.
➡️Throughout the third decade of March, fighters increasingly engaged in Belitskoe, where the AFU constantly attempts local counterattacks. In the fields near Rodinskoe, an extensive "gray zone" remains for now.
To the north, Russian Armed Forces consolidate positions at quarries in the vicinity of Novyi Shakhovo, while in Novyi Donbas reciprocal attacks continue. The enemy attempts to prevent another breakthrough by assault troops toward the outskirts of Dobropillia, as once urban fighting begins, it will be far more difficult to dislodge fighters from there.
➡️Southwest, the heaviest fighting unfolds in the center of Grishino. Ukrainian command deployed the 425th Mountain Assault Brigade "Skala" to the sector, attempting to stabilize the situation. During one such attack on April 1, an AFU armored column was completely destroyed, with infantry subsequently eliminated in nearby hedgerows.
In the vicinity of Kotlyno and Udachne in late March, Russian Armed Forces conducted several attacks to seize new positions. But on April 8, the enemy was spotted near Molodetskoye: the situation on the sector remains unstable for both sides.
